Interactive White Boards
Inter Active White (IWB) boards, or "Smart boards" are becoming more visible in classrooms around the world. I have used the mimio and the Smart IWB's over the last 4 years and it has changed the way I teach.It took me awhile, but I figured out that the IWB is more than a fancy chalk board, it can be one of many tools that can transform education. A IWB transforms the classroom into an interactive learning space where the students can start to take charge of their own learning.
I have been listening to Ben Hazzard and Joan Badger's IWB podcast for over a year and it has become a go to place for great IWB curriculum ideas.
They finished their first 150 podcasts in November of 2008 and started a new series called Connecting Teaches in January 2009. Not only do Joan and Ben have great tips for using IWB's, but they are entertaining, funny and dedicated educators.
